information about us

Contains Art on Watchet's East Quay is a charitable arts organisation currently undergoing a period of significant change. It can usually be found to the east of the harbour next to the Marina and boat yard.

Whilst currently closed due to the construction of East Quay (a brand new arts and enterprise centre) Contains Art is soon to re-open its doors in summer 2021, running the gallery and education space as the lead tenant in the new development.

Also at East Quay will be:-

Albatross Print Studio, selling high quality fine art prints and offering courses and workshops to people of all abilities.

Geckoella, a new geology workshop and rock room where rocks and minerals can be analysed, and fossils prepared.

Two Rivers Paper, a handmade paper mill who are dedicated to maintaining the English tradition of making the finest hand-made watercolour paper for artists.

5 individually designed self-catering accommodation pods.

East Quay Kitchen selling tasty treats and meals.

Plus, further artists' studios for visitors to come and explore.

A full programme of exhibitions, events, workshops, courses and activities for children and adults will be available all year around. Please visit our website for further information about Contains Art's previous programme and work and Onion Collective (click here) to find out more about East Quay as a whole, including updates on opening.
