Watchet is a friendly town and West Quay Cottage (The Oar House) is located in the liveliest part of the old town next door to Yankee Jack’s Cottage in Market Street
West Quay is a quirky, one bedroom, beamed cottage, ideally located just yards from the harbour, shops, restaurants and pubs. A great base to enjoy live music, cider, real ale and good company. On the doorstep are Art Galleries, Museums and and the West Somerset Steam Railway.
Facilities include a Wood Burner, gas central heating and unlimited hot water. Wi-fi is also available. We can lend you fishing rods as well.
The light, bright bedroom has an unusual vaulted ceiling and a mezzanine platform, where you can sit and enjoy uninterrupted views of the Bristol Channel.
The floors are stone downstairs and oak upstairs and the furnishings are comfortable so light the Wood Burning Stove, kick back and unwind!
Allocated parking is available in a private, secure residents car park just five minutes walk away.
Dogs with respectful owners are welcome - the back yard is shared with the Nick and his bossy pug, Bea who live next door, so please check before booking.
Rates from £85 per night self catering, minimum 2 nights or you may book through AIRBnB. Longer stays negotiable.
New for 2017, we can offer some extra space - a ‘spare room’ on our little boat ‘Sunwind’, moored up in Watchet Marina, close to the East Quay.
